Plainview Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds or cancellations may apply to services purchased from Plainview.

This policy should be read alongside the Plainview Terms & Conditions.

1. Overview

Plainview provides bespoke, investigative review services that are tailored to the information supplied by each client.

Because of the nature of the work, refund rights differ depending on whether the service has commenced.

2. When Work Commences

For the purposes of refunds and cancellations:

Work is deemed to have commenced once:

  • The client briefing form has been received, and

  • Receipt of that briefing has been acknowledged by Plainview

Once work has commenced, the service is considered to be in progress.

3. Refunds Before Work Commences

Clients are entitled to a full refund if they cancel their order before work has commenced.

To request a cancellation before commencement, clients must contact Plainview using the contact details provided below.

4. Refunds After Work Has Commenced

Once work has commenced:

  • No refunds are available

  • This applies regardless of whether the review has been completed or delivered

This reflects the bespoke nature of the service and the allocation of time and resources once a review begins.

5. Service Upgrades

Clients who have purchased a Focused Review may upgrade to an Extended Review prior to delivery of the report.

  • The upgrade is subject to payment of the difference in fees

  • Upgrades do not reset or affect the commencement status of the service

6. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service

Plainview reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a service where:

  • The request falls outside the scope of the service

  • Ethical, legal, or safety concerns arise

  • Required information is not provided by the client

Where service is refused before work has commenced, a full refund will be issued.

Where work has already commenced, no refund is due.

7. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
